Martin's notes: Take The Time Around is so obviously about taking acid that I'm scared that my mum might be listening, although I did like the 'take what you know...' line, I thought it encapsulated what we were doing very well. The guitar solo is hilarious. Why do a good solo when three bad ones played on top of each other will do? It goes on a bit but the vocals at the end are ace. The guitar sound was trying to recreate the sound Bob Mould got out of his guitars. That sound was called 'Loud'.
Lyrics: And I think you know. I think you know my body's aching. So take the time, to take your time and feel the power surging through, let it wash all over you, feel it breaking through. Try to let it help you understand. Take what you know. Break it up and re-arrange it.
